Our Managing Partner is Samuel Olufemi Adebiyi, a 1979 First-Class Honours graduate of University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also led his 1981 Masters class in Agricultural Economics from the same university.  Femi holds a PhD degree in Business Management from Atlantic International University. He joined the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1981 as an Assistant Economist. His distinguished performance made him one of seven professionals from the Bank seconded to pioneer the Nigerian Export-Import Bank. He left NEXIM Bank for First City Monument Bank Plc as Head of Economic Research and Corporate Affairs. He left the bank as Group Head, Corporate Services to start R&S Consulting Limited, after a short stint at Development Associates. From here, he consulted briefly for the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), which he later joined as pioneer Director of Enterprise Promotions, Management and Extension Services. Femi was for many years a facilitator to the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC) while in the banking system. He has spoken at major economic policy forums, and has many published papers to his credit. Apart from being a former university scholar, Femi was the first African to earn the United Kingdom’s Federation of Oil, Seeds and Fats Association (FOSFA) International Certificate of Excellence. Some of the overseas courses Femi has attended include ‘Trading in Commodity Physicals and Futures Markets in Developing Countries’ at the City University Business School, London; ‘Agricultural Planning and Rural Development in Africa’ at the United Nations Institute for Economic Development and Planning, Dakar, Senegal; ‘FOSFA Trade Education Course’
(FOSFA – Federation of Oils, Seeds and Fats Association), Brunnel University, Uxbridge, West London; ‘Developing Markets for Business Development Services (BDS)’ at the Springfield Centre, Durham/Glasgow, United Kingdom; ‘National Study Training-Tour of Small Business Development’ in Malaysia; ‘Fourth Commonwealth-India Small Business Competitiveness Programme’: Chennai, India; ‘Small Business Counselor Certification Programme’: Acadia Centre for Small Business Entrepreneurship, Acadia, Canada; ‘Training on Entrepreneurship for SMEs Development’ at the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development; Ahmedabad, India;’ and training on Eliminating Rural Poverty: the Israel Development Experience at NISPED, Beer Sheva, Israel. He has also attended many local courses, including two at the prestigious Lagos Business School.

 

Our advisory partner is Dr. Adebola Olukoya Olubanjo, FCA, FCCA (UK). He is also Member Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC) and an Associate, Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners of Nigeria (ABR). A trained consultant, Adebola has more than 25 years in consulting for SMEs. Some of the assignments handled by him include:-

Survey of SMEs in 11 states of the Federation covering South-East and North-East geopolitical zones for SMEDAN.
Advising MSMEs on various issues including sourcing for funds, Profit Planning, budgeting, accounting system and taxation. Clients over the years are more than 50 and some have moved up from micro to small and medium enterprises.
Workshops on Agricultural based MSMEs covering fish farming, Snail farming, Poultry and Piggery. Lead facilitator at training seminars and Workshop for Entrepreneurship Development and Competency Training Sessions. A national Director and national vice-President of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International, Dr. Olubanjo has two publications – Vision your Bridge to Success and Simplified Accounting Records – and several presentations to his credit.

 

 

Young Chukwuemeka Okezie is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Taxation Institute of Nigeria. Young was also the pioneer Chief Executive of the Enugu SME Centre, former General Manager of Price Securities and Trust Company Ltd and Former Financial Accountant with the Nigerian Breweries. He has deep skills in SME development, auditing, accounting, treasury and financial services as well as investment analysis and he is one of the prime service providers to SMEDAN. He is joint publisher of Business Information Guide for Nigerian SME Managers.

 

Adewodu, Abiola Olubusola was, until December 2009 an Assistant General Manager & Head, Supervision Division in NEXIM Bank. In this position, she had responsibility for supervising disbursements, monitoring and collection of repayments as and when due and pursuing claims and recoveries; supervising the running of the Credit Administration of Project Finance and Trade Finance Departments as well as the Recovery and Claims Department of the Division. Before then, she was AGM Trade Finance and AGM Project Finance. Abiodun has a First Class Honours degree in Agricultural Economics from the then University of Ife and a Masters degree in Banking and Finance from Italy.

 

John Aderibigbe is a graduate of Economics from the University of Ibadan. He has over ten years experience as Business Development Manager. His background and experience range from Strategic Consulting, Business Development, Leadership Training, Business Process Reengineering, Research and Human Resources.

 

Biodun Omidiji holds Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science – Accounting and is an Associate of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria. He is a World Bank Microfinance Trainer of Trainers and also Central Bank of Nigeria Certified Microfinance Training Service Provider. He has attended many training and courses in small business development and project evaluation in Israel, India, Jordan, Philippines, South Africa and Canada.

 

Gbenga Adeusi is a 1992 First Class Honours graduate of Agricultural Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University. He also has an MBA degree in Marketing from University of Ado, Ado Ekiti. Currently a Senior Consultant in R&SCL, Gbenga was once the Head of Treasury and Marketing in Legacy Trust and Investment Limited as well as Business Development Manager, Niche Banking in the former Omega Bank.
